Your blog regarding tablet use and the benefits for children with autism was very informative. I have always taken an interest in children who need assisted technology for learning and this was an area I never read or thought about. One of the things you mentioned was that children with autism have a hard time with on screen reading and fortunately, with tablets, the user is able to magnify the text on the screen fairly simply. This would be very helpful to those who are unable to read the screen. Another point I really liked about your blog was that autism also effects the motor skills in the hands. Without a mouse necessary to use the tablet, this could also help hone in the motor skills of the user as well. There are some other great screen reader programs too that can help with individuals who can not read the screen. I believe that communication is one of the biggest obstacles for autistic individuals to overcome and introducing them to technology that could help them express themselves at an earlier age will be truly beneficial. -Allan Bui
